Changelog

Release notes for the Zing Fitness AI Coach SDK. A release can include a Flutter plugin version, a native Android SDK version, an iOS SDK version, or a combination of them. The Flutter version is shared across platforms. The native version belongs to Android or iOS.

Use the Android and iOS pages when you integrate a native SDK directly. React Native follows the native SDK it wraps, so use the platform page that matches your host app.

Partner API

8 October 2026

• Adds PATCH /users/{partner_user_id}/name to set a member’s first name, last name, or both. See Member Names.
• Adds POST /users/names:batch to set names for up to 500 members in one request, with a per-member updated or not_found result.
• GET /users and GET /users/{partner_user_id} return first_name and last_name.
• The names are shown in the Partner Portal. They never replace the name the member chose in the Zing app, and the app does not show them.

Android

• Syncs sleep sessions and body measurements from Health Connect: weight, height, body fat, bone mass, lean body mass, body water mass, and basal metabolic rate.
• Requests eight new Health Connect read permissions. The SDK merges them into your app. Declare them in the Play Console health apps declaration. See Health Connect.
• Shows a one-time prompt on the SDK home screen to users who connected Health Connect before 2.3.1, asking for the new permissions.
• Fixes health data being sent twice on the first launch after onboarding.

Flutter 2.3.0

Both platforms

• Call setTheme after init to replace the theme. Configuration and the current session stay in place.
• SdkColors uses the current token names. headingPrimary, headingPrimaryInv, fgPrimary, and fgSecondary replace textHeadingDarkPrimary, textHeadingLightPrimary, textBodyDarkPrimary, and textBodyDarkSecondary.
• HomeScreenConfiguration.showBodyScanWidget defaults to true. Set it to false to hide the Body Scan card on the home screen.
• setPrimaryLocationId saves your location id on the logged-in user’s profile.

iOS

• SdkTheme.blurStyle sets the iOS blur style. Android ignores it.
• Includes the iOS SDK 2.3.0 changes.

• Adds setPrimaryLocationId to save your location id on the logged-in user’s profile.
• Adds bodyScanIsVisible to HomeScreenConfig (default true) to show or hide the Body Scan card on the home screen and embedded home view.

Theme setup changes in this release. Assign the theme with sdk.theme after initialization. See Theming.

• Assign sdk.theme after initialization. InitializationParameters accepts configuration only. Assign sdk.theme again later to switch themes on the same SDK instance.
• Build a custom theme from Theme.default or Theme.defaultDark with byApplying. Each token resolves to a value.
• Color tokens use new names. Brand colors remain .brand(.primary), .brand(.secondary), and .brand(.tertiary), and .brand(.text) is added.
• Adds showBodyScanWidget on ProgramScreenConfiguration (default true) to show or hide the Body Scan card on the Program screen.
• Adds setPrimaryLocationID(_:) to save your location id on the logged-in user’s profile.
• Syncs age group and starting weight with the rest of the profile after onboarding.
• Includes the user id on analytics events.
• Updates Program, onboarding, workouts, the assistant, profile, and computer-vision screens for the new design tokens, including dark mode.

• Adds ProgramScreenConfiguration for .program. showCloseButton controls the close button. showAskCoachButton controls the Ask Coach button and defaults to true. Set showCloseButton to false when you embed Program in your own navigation, such as a tab bar.
• Adds .onboarding, so you can present the onboarding flow on its own.
• Opens external links in the system browser.
• Syncs body fat percentage, lean body mass, body mass index, and waist circumference from Apple Health.
• Adds gym equipment: hack squat, linear hack squat, decline chest press, iso-lateral lat pulldown, high row, iso-lateral vertical row, pullover, and ski erg.
• Updates Italian copy, and onboarding strings in Arabic, German, Spanish, French, and Brazilian Portuguese.
• Fixes long titles in selection lists, a missing tooltip background, and an extra navigation step when adapting a workout.
